Industry presentation SIBA: DC fuses

Mr. Johannes-Georg of SIBA presents about fuses in DC systems at the PGS on Wednesday the 20^th of June 2018.

After a short introduction into the setup and function of fuses the presentation will focus on challenges and characteristics of DC fuses. Mainly the principle of arc extinction, as well as the general design of fuses are discussed.

Afterwards DC applications are introduced and an overview is given about the possibilities of protection with DC fuses in those applications.

In the end, a short outlook about future challenges in the field of DC industry is given.
